Air Machine out of service

Air Machine out of service Chevron Gas Station 13259 Westheimer (at Elridge) Houston, Texas 77077 281-759-7101 On August 16, 2006 at approximately 4:40PM, I stopped by at the above-mentioned Chevron Gas Station to put air into my tires. The Air/Water Station requires a deposit of $0.75 to put air in. After I put the money in, I noticed that the air hose did not have the connection piece to the tire valve. I went inside the station to ask the Clerk if he has the valve connection for the air hose. He immediately said that Chevron has nothing to do with the Air Station. It belongs to another company. He has nothing to do with it. I asked him if he know who own the Air Station. He said he does not know. I asked him if he would refund my $0.75 that I lost since I don't have enough quarters to pump air at another gas station. He said he is not responsible for it. Frustrated, I asked him to at least put up a sign that said the Air is out of order. He gave me a shrugged and said nothing. First of all, I don't believe Chevron would let some other companies run the Air/Water Station within their Gas Station properties. Secondly, if they did, they should have required that company to put their name and phone numbers on the Air/Water Station so consumer would know who to contact in case of problems. Thirdly, I don't appreciate Chevron employee not responding to consumer appropriate request of putting up the Out-of-Order sign, even if they don't own the Air/Water Station. That is just not the way to run business. I lost only $0.75, but they have lost my business forever. Thanks.
