The above is the place where I applied for a job, and was told I would be hired once passing a drug screening, and background check. Everything went well, until I received a phone call saying I had a criminal record. They said they wanted to hire me, and if I could prove the information that the backgrounf check company supplied was wrong, then they would resubmit the background check. The background check was through (United States Mutual Association), which I see you have a few other complaints in regards to them. I did indeed get a letter from the court saying that all the charges were dropped, and USMA would not except it, and pretty much said that the court was lying. Mind you about 8 months before this I had to go for a backgrounf check through the police for my volunteer fire fighting. If I did have anything show up on my record it would have been brought up, and I probably wouldn't be able to remain as an active firefighter. I'm thinking about contacting a lawyer in regards to USMA but I don't know if anyone has really been to successful with suing a background check company.
