Please post my complaint about: ATP Landscaping LLC and Anthony Pietrini

I would like to post a complaint about ATP Landscaping LLC and Anthony Pietrini, or Tony, of 265 Horse Fence Hill Rd, Southbury, CT, 203-264-7771, who did a project for us in Bethel, CT. They completely ripped us off, used inferior materials, and did poor work.

ATP Landscaping LLC was hired to build a small retaining wall on our property and close in a basement window with cement.

Regarding the retaining wall, they were specifically instructed to consult the pool company (also working on the premises at the same time) as to what the EXACT grading level requirement would be, next to, and under, the retaining wall they were to build, to make SURE they would install the wall correctly. Tony (owner Anthony Pietrini or Pictrini) did NOT consult the pool company at all, instead he just showed up one day and quickly installed a retaining wall as he pleased, without consulting anyone including us. The work was inferior and the wall not properly installed in that one side of the wall was facing the wrong way (bad unfinished block sides showing outward) and the corners had no support, and the left side had insufficient dirt support. He also used many chipped and damaged blocks (shows on both sides).

I am now left with a retaining wall that is not only an eyesore but is starting to collapse because it was installed incorrectly and there is no dirt holding it up on the left side. This could have been avoided had Tony followed our agreement that he work in consult with the pool installers, regarding what the correct grading should be. There is no excuse for using the damaged chipped blocks as we were supposed to have new materials.

They also never returned to remove the wood supports in front of the basement window and we had to remove them ourselves, which then revealed a rather unfinished looking cement closure that was quite ugly.

We have many photos to support our claim.

The company has refused to repair the work and at this point we do not feel comfortable having them work on our premises any longer and we are seeking a full refund so we can have another company repair the damage which amounts to $2120.00.

Please do NOT hire this company for ANY reason, they are most unprofessional!
