Furniture/Threatening email Hi,
On 29th June 2006 I bought a dining table and chairs from 'LLantrisant Leather Warehouse Ltd, Unit C1 Coedcae Lane Industrial Estate, Pontyclun, Cardiff, CF72 6HG - 01443 230813' on eBay, paying immediately by credit card. When I chased delivery I had numerous excuses from them, including the old, 'the drivers got family problems'. I was eventually told I would receive my purchase on Saturday 12th August 2006 (44 days later), provided I could find a hotel in Leicester for their driver to stay at overnight! I searched for a cheap place for their driver on the internet and passed the company owner, Suzanne Dickenson, all the information. At 8.15pm on Saturday 12th August their driver called to say that they were 4 hours away, in Cumbria, and could I wait for delivery!? I said no, as I had to be up for work early, due to working shifts and they could potentially have not arrived until 1am. I asked the driver if he could deliver in the morning before they headed back to Wales. To this they agreed. Annoyed, but grateful at last to receive my furniture, I accepted delivery at 6.30am on Sunday 13th August 2006. I wrote the below email complaint to Suzanne Dickenson on the night that I should have received my order, and got the following response (please read from the bottom up). As you will see, I got rather an alarming reply to my fairly mild email (considering the circumstances). Does anyone have advice about how I can complain about this company to a trade association or equivalant? They are VAT registered, number 840 683913 if that helps?
