I bought a new T6536 emachine about a month ago, and the serial number is not valid. I called emachines and tried to register the product with the serial number posted on the front and back of the machine and they claim that this product is not yet supported and the serial number is invalid. The phone rep told me that bestbuy was illegally selling this model and that my warranty could not be supported through them, which is not true seeing as emachines are selling this very model right on the front of their sales site. So after an hour phone call and no help I was told to just wait a couple weeks and try again.
After 2 weeks of owning this unit, the ethernet jack stopped working so I brought the machine into Bestbuy where I own a 3 year warranty on it. They replaced the whole system due to the type of problem and when I got home to register this unit, emachines said that this serial number is not valid and will not be supported.
Now when I tried to get support 2 years ago with my emachines serial number, they told me the same thing with my other model. So I am under the impression that they will not support their product and that their warranty is really not upholding. I have been told by 3 different phone reps that they will NOT support my unit due to its type (which is brand new) or its serial number (which was all 3 machines...invalid?)
I dont know what to do for OS support or the manufacturing warranty seeing as they claim this is not their products serial number which is false.

Never Ever buy an Emachine From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Monday, 16-Aug-10 08:31:46 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI bought an eMachine 19 inch flat panel monitor approximately 5 months ago. It has now stopped working and when I called customer support I was transferred to a call center out of the United States where I was connected to a very rude individual who would not help me with my issue and probably had no idea how to correct the problem anyway. This person ended the call abruptly with the comment that there was nothing she could do. Needless to say I will never purchase another Emachine product and am hopeful that due to their EXTREMELY UNETHICAL business practices will soon be out of business. Any consumers out there who are thinking of buying any Emachine product don't. All you are doing is giving away your money for junk that will not last nor be repaired or replaced. BUYER BEWARE!!!
