I purchased a specific handset for one reason; I wanted a 2 megapixel camera. I already returned a handset I wasnt happy with for the same reason, despite discussing my requirements with the sales person.


The handset I received was a clearance deal - which means MINOR cosmetic marks possible but "will be perfect working order, tested and guaranteed for 12 months"


The handset I received had a battered battery, which keeps falling out because there is no battery cover, the phone has no original screensavers/ wallpapers or themes on it, looks like its has been used for over a year already.


I called onestopphoneshop the same day I received it. By now I had also tried charging it for over 4 hours and it kept switching off even if I put it safely.


I was told I would receive a call within 48 hours for a no quibble exchange.


NOTHING


I called back on the 3rd day. This is Good Friday, customer services CLOSED. Left an email for customer services on 2 email addresses.


Saturday, couldnt get through (tried at 3 different times in the day)


Bank holiday Monday, Left 2nd email for the sales manager.


NO REPLIES AGAIN from emails or the promised call back


Finally got through on tuesday, got NO apologies and again, told I would receive a email of alternative handsets to exchange. I gave my email address, and 2 contact no's.


I DIDNT RECEIVE ANYTHING


Meanwhile I have now gone over the 7 day returns period as I couldnt even get a returns authorisation code and o2 has billed me for just over 1 months part of the contract.


I called back on thursday. Now annoyed as I was stuck with a handset I couldnt use (and I didnt have another handset that can take the o2 SIM), I had been billed for what I couldnt use.


The customer service person I spoke to advised THERE WAS NO RECORD OF MY FAULTY HANDSET, calls or messages, and that "I WOULD NOT RECEIVE A RETURN CODE" This person was completely ignorant to what the issues were or the fact that they were seperate issues (one of them being I was billed for the original phone I returned within the 7 day peace of mind guarantee as well!)


Being very stressed at this point I decided to copy all bills from o2 and emails sent to c/s and the sales manager. I sent the paperwork together with a formal letter of complaint on email and in the post. I have still to date heard nothing. I cannot use the handset and am being billed by o2 in the interim (which shows that onestopphoneshop have done nothing to advise o2 or put the account on hold?)


Onestopphoneshop has been completely oblivious to the urgency of my problem and even had the audacity to advise there is no record of me contacting them!
