Disney Merchandise Replacement I had bought this 6 Disc Set, "A Musical History of Disneyland" for about $125 in May, 2005. One of the discs got broken and I tried to get a replacement. Anyway, this is my story. I had sent an email first time around to WDW merchandise services, and got reply saying they could not help my need and I had to call 1-800-7760-3566. This email was sent by Naef. I did what she said, and when I finally got hold of the WDW merchandise line, I had asked if I could get a replacement disc; I bought the "50th Anniversary, A Musical History of Disneyland" 6 Disc Set, and Disc 2 (New Orleans Square, cont. got broken. It seemed to me that she would have been willing to send a replacement, but I was informed that this product could not be bought there anymore, instead a 5 disc set of the WDW park music can be bought. That didn't do any good for me. Needless to say, I asked if I should call one of Disney's other services that is selling it and said I could give it a try. I called Disney Direct and found out that the product was available there. However, since I didn't purchase it through them they could not send a replacement. I then tried calling Disneyland Merchandise Services. When I told them about my broken disc, they were not willing to send out a replacement (even though I never said I bought it at WDW) and tried making me pay $118 for another set. The reason for this is they wouldn't take one CD out leaving one set short (so in the case of a bad product, do you replace the whole set??). Needless to say, I am very confused and a bit disappointed. WDW says I can't get a replacement because they don't sell it anymore, yet Disney Direct was willing to send a replacement but wouldn't since it wasn't bought from there, and Disneyland wasn't willing to send a replacement at ALL. I would think they should have a similar code when it comes to replacement. I also am confused why WDW doesn't sell this anymore, as Disney Direct, Disneyland, and soon even major stores will be carrying the product just without the record. I wanted to contact someone with higher status to see if they could try doing anything but had no idea who to send this to. I have visited WDW four times, Disneyland once, and have spent thousands of merchandise between the parks, Disney Stores, and Disney Direct. I have found this a hassle trying to get one replacement CD and know that it is mere possible, as I just made the wrong decision on where to purchase this. I don't know how this incident will make me look upon the Disney company, but for know it's not as great as I had considered it. I will say this, they did all say "I hope you have a nice day" (which to me is standard for Disney quality) but right now, it's not looking so great.
