I attempted to order a Canon 30D with the "Presidential Package". When they called to confirm the order, they told me that the camera was going to take 3-4 weeks because it was a gray market camera. If I wanted it sooner, I could upgrade to the USA warranty for $500 more. Further, he went on to say that the gray market camera was inferior in quality and was only in Japanese. I said, "Doesn't it automatically come with 6 languages you can select from?" he said not on the imports. He continued to try to upsell me on accessories as well and as the conversation went on, I did not trust them at all and canceled the order. Thankfully, when I went back to the website later, it showed as being canceled. In the meantime, I tried another website, Royal Camera, who had a similar price. When i saw the similarities between the checkout portion of the website with CCI Camera City, I got concerned. I called their customer service number and after a few connections, was speaking the same same person I was just on the phone with at Camera City! He denied it was him and said Royal Camera was its own company, but when I decided to "play along" and asked him the difference between the US and gray market cameras, he hung up on me. Buyer Beware!
