Auto Vantage I have repeatedly been charged for membership to Autovantage, even though I received a confirmation email from them stating the service was cancelled well within the trial period. I cancelled because I did not receive the promised "free gas" and was given the run around so I got suspicious and went ahead and cancelled. Sure enough I was charged in February for the service. As soon as I saw the charge I called the phone number listed on the statement and cancelled again. A month or so later I was charged again, and again I called and cancelled. Each time I was given a cancellation number. Well, April 10th another charge hit my account again. This time there was no number listed so I had to call my credit union to get it. I called on April 11th and asked why I was still being charged. I was told that I never cancelled. I told the person on the other line that I cancelled and reiterated "I never want to be charged again, I want EVERYTHING cancelled AGAIN and I want my money back in my account that was illegally taken out". I also told them they had no permission to take out any further funds. On April 21st I checked my account and the money has still not been reimbursed so I called again. Again I was told I never cancelled, they gave me another cancellation number and was going to hang up but I insisted on specking to a supervisor. Eventually another person came on the line and told me that there was no records of my cancellations and that it would take another 15 to 24 days before my money was returned. I will be filing complaints with the BBB, FTC and Attorney General for several states. If they do it again I will be suing. Carol Harmon M/C: HQW02N35 700 W.
