NetFlix Will Not Cancel Your Account

NetFlix Will Not Cancel Your Account

I cancelled my account in February through NetFlix. However, I received a charge to my credit card in March. I went onto the internet and saw that others had the same problem. I believe that this is a scam that NetFlix is doing. The first time you try to cancel they do not actively cancel your account. NetFlix charges your account for the next month. Once you realize that you have been charged, obviously, you contact their customer service through e-mail. NetFlix then sends you an e-mail and you go through a process to cancell your account. That time it works. You receive an automatic e-mail confirmation (not received the first time since the original cancellation process is bogus). Since you are finally happy that you did in fact get the service cancelled, you do not complain anymore -- your life is too hectic. This is what I believe NetFlix is counting on you to do. I believe this is their way of receiving one additional payment from any customer that cancels their service. Perhaps if enough people complain, they will stop this fraud.

If anyone else has a similar problem and wants to e-mail me at Email User I will be happy to compile all of the complaints and see what type of legal action is available.

I have been billed for two months now from NetFlix on my credit card. I don't know how they got my credit card number. The NetFlix was a gift from my son-in-law as a birhtday gift for 6 free movies. Next thing I know, I used the 6 free movies and now I am getting billed from NetFlix. For what, I don't know. I called NetFlix last month to take the charges off my credit card. Apparently, that didn't work because I have another month's charge on my credit card bill. I never gave anyone my credit card number. How did NetFlix get my credit card number? This really erks me? What else can companies do out there with your credit card?
