Complaint about Home Depot / Mill's Pride

Complaint about Home Depot / Mill's Pride I purchased a $99 Versa Cabinet made by Mill's Pride, I thought I was getting a good deal. It weighed over 200lbs and even though I lived only two blocks from Home Depot, they would not let me borrow a hand truck to take it home so I had to spend more money on a van service. Needless to say, when I have the thing home, after taking it piece by piece up four flights of stairs, I start assembling. Halfway into the assembly, the particle board cracks and the cabinet falls apart totally. I was BEYOND frustrated. I went back to Home Depot, to ask for a new piece and the manager was acting like it was my fault that this crappy cabinet fell apart. After being made fun of, another customer joined in to say that she too had purchased this cabinet and had the same experience. They finally get me the replacement side and I get it home and start to reassemble the cabinet. That is when the OTHER side broke. Rather than go back to Home Depot, I decided to just drive screws through the side until it stayed together. I finally HAVE a cabinet, but the doors are crooked, and I had to make HUGE improvisations. Needless to say, I have built MANY MANY furniture items in the past and this was the WORST experience -- it didn't even get together before it fell apart!!!!!!!!!! This company, Mill's Pride should go out of business. They have NOTHING to be proud of... their product SUCKS and I plan to write a letter to my Attorney General, I would have rather spent my hard earned $100 on something that cost me $200.
