This player the LG LDA-530 DVD player, does not play any "burnt" DVD/CDs. The packaging claimed universal

capabilities and a wide range of formats. However they neglected on the packaging to claim that the the

LDA-530 would not play virtually any "burnt" DVD/CD. This is mentioned in the manual, but that does the

purchaser no good as this is not available until the unit is home. This player the LDA-530 player has

invalidated my entire collection of home movies(DVD) and slideshows(CD). I know the home movies are playable

as they play fine on my 2 older DVD players. LG with this player, the LDA-530 is selling a faulty product and

claiming since it does play commercial DVDs and CDs it is OK. However they also claim it will play DIVx and

there is no commercial DIVx DVDs on the marked, these are "burnt" DVD/CDs and these "burnt" DVD/CDs will not

play in this player..

LG is selling known faulty product and refusing to honor their claims of universality made on the packaging.
