March 18, 2006, we signed a contract and paid to have a closet installed for April 5.

04/05 - 8:00am received call from customer service that their man did not show up for work. (It was a very rainy night and day that day) My husband had already taken the day off of work and we had already taken everything out of our closet ready for the installation. They wanted to schedule us for the following Monday. I advised them that would not work, we had already lost a day of pay and it would now have to be a Saturday at our convenience, unless they wanted to reimburse work pay. I was told by customer service the supervisor would call me back to discuss because they generally do not work weekends.

As of 6:00pm I had not received a phone call from the supervisor. I then called him, he was not in. I was advised I would get a call back first thing in the morning by Andres, the supervisor.

04/06 - am - I left a message again for Andres

04/06 - 2:00 - I called again for Andres, he said he was able to get us scheduled for that coming Saturday between 9:00-11:00am.

04/08- 8:00am - Anthony called to cancel stating that they had damaged the wood in the last cancellation and would have to reschedule for the following Saturday. I advised Anthony I would like Gary Cheney, district manager to call me first thing Monday morning. I then left a message on the general answering machine as well for Gary Cheney. I also left a message for Albert Garcia, our designer to please call us with a direct number for Gary or to please call Gary to have him call us as soon as possible.

04/10 - Again left a message for Gary Cheney. I then spoke with Andres, who stated they would not refund our money because of the contract after I advised we no longer wanted their business. I also advised him we would be seeking legal action. Throughout the day I left another message for Gary Cheney and for his boss Alex.

04/11 - My husband spoke with Anthony and was promised they would still be here this coming Saturday morning by 9:00am.

04/15 - Today is that third appointment and at 9:00am Eduardo Guerrera called to cancel. Stating that the new building materials never came in. Apparently when they put in to have them rebuilt, they thought it was a duplicate order and canceled the order. He says they did not know this until this morning when they were loading the truck. They only load on the mornings of the appointment. We again asked to have a supervisor call us back.

They have had $3,500.00 of our money since March 18, 2006. In all of the times we have asked that a supervisor, district manager and his supervisor call us back, we have not received a single return call. As of this mornings cancellation, I have no idea when the job will be done. But our check is definitely cashed. I do know one thing, that once I am through writing my letter to the president of Closet World and to the Contractors Board and have taken them to small claims court, they will definitely NEVER be recommended for their services. Signing a contract with Closet World has been the biggest mistake.
