RE: Home Depot

On 4/02/06 we went to the above Home Depot to purchase flooring.

Before going there I opened a Home Depot charge with the promise of receiving on "our" first purchase a 10% discount in addition to the sale price.

I both chose a flooring and opened a Home Depot charge account on-line so to receive the "sale price" of the Real Touch Elite laminate flooring. So I already knew what I wanted and approximately how much it would cost with the total of 30% discount-as that flooring if professionally "installed" was 20% off.

We, myself and husband are "senior citizen's" and both member's of AARP among other things. I was assured by both phone and the individual who initially waited on us and several thereafter that the total price AS I requested would "include" taking up and removing the carpet that is in our condo.

We were "incorrectly" written a receipt that "apparently" did not include this,...... EVEN though after several request's to INSURE, ... that this was "included"- I believed the person's both by phone and in-store & assumed that this sales slip was written that WAY<.

I am sure the individual's there not only heard my repeated request's to reassure me that all that I asked was requested/STATED on the RECEIPT-CORRECTLY "including their offer of 12 month's to pay 'no interest" & no payment's-they assured me all I had asked was "included and that's how it's written on the receipt.

When we got our bill shortly thereafter there was only a 6 mons. "no payment 'no interest" agreement, no 10% additional discount (Also, they "Failed to "include" the removal of the carpet APPARENTLY?!).-and we found out after THERE INCOMPETENT subcontractor PREMIER-came and said they didn't feel like doing this because the receipt was not showing that they had to REMOVE the old carpet, nor move the few heavy item's that were left in the location's in which the laminate was to be installed. We had removed all item's from any drawers and the few item's left were not very heavy. (Non of their personnel seem to communicate with one another causing GREAT disservice to their customer's)

There attitude that of both Home Depot and their subcontractor PREMIER was So "INDIFFERENT, so INCOMPETENT that we were just amazed. I personally redid my father's home and condo as far as choosing and transaction's with another nearby company and got excellent service.

The Home Depot on New Ordnance Rd., Glen Burnie, MD, gave myself and my husband the WORST service we have ever had from any place we have dealt with.

We have CANCELED our order and they have agreed to send someone to pick up their unwanted merchandise. In addition before going there I called and they "claimed that they deliver when we got there they said however they leave it on the CURB-we live in a condo complex and we wanted it brought in. THERE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE.

I will never go there again,, there are places right nearby which by far outdo their ACTUAL price and ABSOLUTELY outdo THEIR-SERVICE.

Thank you
