WHY MORTGAGE KEEPS REPAIR CHECKS MIDLAND MORTAGAGE CO. P.O. BOX 26648 OKLAHOMA CITY, OK 73126-0648 My complaintis: The pipe under my bath tub broke and water came thru the celling of the liveing room damageing my carpet in two rooms,a liveing room chair and now I have a large hole in my celling. I called my home insurance company State Farm and a contractor. I got the cost to fax the damage and the insurance company issued the check. How I called the mortagage company and they only want to send 10% of the the check back to my which is $800.00 of a $8,000.00 check to pay the contractor. How I have four young children in my home, water is coming done in the liveing room and mildow is growing, the children can not take a bath and contractor will not start the work with only $800.00 of his pay. Is this the law the a mortagage company can stop work from being done and what if the children get sick from the mildow?
