I am fed up and frustrated with FIDO. Over the past month I have tried to transfer my plan to another person. Fido Customer Service has been rude and completely useless. I was laughed at, and they refused to let me talk to a manager. When I finally did talk to management and they appear to be helpful and when you call back no one knows who that person was that you are talking to.


I had moved out of the country and didn't want to cancel my service because I didn't want to pay for the contract cancellation - so I attempted to just transfer the plan to someone else. But your customer service has left me with no choice but to cancel. I have talked to Derek Rice (apparently a customer service supervisor) exactly one week from yesterday and he ensured me that this was going to be taken care of. It's not and I am very upset. The other person involved, the person that was going to be taking over the account is also frustrated and fed up with the runaround we've been getting and she's taking this unsatisfactory behavior of your staff to the press. This is unacceptable behavior from such a large company.

 

They are now telling me that I am responsible for the $200 cancellation fee, and that the person that was to take over my plan NEVER called. This is a complete lie because I was previously told that they have record of her calling and they weren’t able to help her. So on top of the $200 I have to pay for service for the month that they were refusing to transfer the account. I don’t think so!!!

 

Do not do business with this company!!!

Guys read what happen between Fido and my self. I had 4 phonelines with fido for almost 6 years. I called fido on Jan 2010 and ask them if I can renew my contract and get 3 IPHONES and yes I was told no problem so 2 weeks laer I get only 2 IPHONES in the mail. I called them 20 times about my 3rd phone and the final answer was they cannot give me the 3rd phone because the rep made a mistake and that is why I cannot get the third phone as they had promised. So what I did was I just went to WIND MOBILE bought 2 phones from them and I am only paying 35 a month oppesed to almost 400 a month with FIDO.
