You may be able to find some emails that I and my husband sent to Consumer Service over the past ~2 years.

 

Our kitchen is finally completed-we were told we would be without a kitchen no longer than 2 weeks. The last little bit of work has just been finished. We were out of a workable kitchen for about 3 months, our living area had boxes of cabinets for over a month before anything could get done.

 

I didn't get my pull out shelves or pull out trash bin because of miss measuring. My beautiful Italian tile has chips in nearly every block of tile (no one from Lowe's wants to admit that it shouldn't be this way). My cabinets should have the finished look at the ends as I saw in the store, and because of the miss measuring that could not be done, but they did put in some kind of bead board to make all bare places look finished. My cabinets are cherry, spice stain, and they are beautiful--but the kitchen is not as we ordered.

 

The manager and I have agreed on a barter for the kitchen tile. He feels that Lowe's has done all that they can do to satisfy us. We do not agree. Plans through this time had to be canceled, family gatherings, etc. The time line between trying to get things done for us is ridiculous, and we had to make calls to let Lowe's remember that work has not been finished with us.

 

What do we want form Lowe's? We want to barter--outside of barter for the floor--we would like to have the four windows in front of our house replaced with new top grade windows from Lowe's. We do not feel this is an unreasonable request--Do you?

 

You should know that we have not talked against Lowe's, and our friend who are aware of everything thinks we are too gullible. Saying that they would not be so nice. We feel we are not here on earth to make enemies, but to love as Jesus loves. We are not the type to sue anyone, but we are the type that wants to know what our rights and what our options are. Can you help us?

 

We will meet with Mr. King next week sometime to talk further--but he has already said that he thinks Lowe's has done enough for us. We wish for this message be between us for right now.

I am going through the same thing with Lowes. Ordered Cabinets in April 07. It's now the end of Nov and cabinets were installed with no spacers. Door pulls hit and crown molding falls off when cabinet door is opened. We have ben told that they would do what it takes to make us happy. I had to cancel Thanksgiving with my family who were traveling from Oklahoma and Kansas. WE live in LA . I have boxes everywhere. WE have had to eat out or eat off paper plates for over 2 months until we finally went ahead and put in the countertops and sinks. The lower cabinets are no problem but now they will have to work around the fact that we have counters and floor tile and when they started our kitchen was gutted. One of the installers actually stood on my granite and ripped the crown molding off the top of the cabinets with a crow bar and put chips in the top of 3 of the cabinets. I have spent over 14k on cabinets and had 3 cabinets returned by the installer over 3 months ago and still haven't had the money credited to my Lowes credit account. I have a meeting this Friday (2nd) with the installation manager and installer. The kitchen designer did a lousy job with the design and wants to blame the installer. If I am not told Friday that they are replacing all the upper cabinets I am going to tell them to take them down and credit me and I will order them from somewhere else.
