POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM PUBLIX - GA

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM PUBLIX - GA I am beyond humiliated and upset at this point because I just came from the above mentioned store and I always shop there because it is close to my new home and it is very convinient for me. I always pay by check and I always spend about 200-300 dollars every other week. I completed my shopping and my total came to about 313 dollars and I produced my check book and drivers licence like I always do. The manager took one look at me and said "I need to verify your licence since it is out of state". I waited for about 7 minutes while she did that and I finally went to customer service to enquire what was taking so long. I requested if someone could help me to my car while she verified my licence. As we got to the door, she came out running and said "maa'm where do you think you are going" and I said to her, this gentleman is helping me to my car and I will be right back. She then said "well, Bank of America is closed and I cannot verify that there is money in the account, if you can come with me and speak to them, then everything will be fine" - I said to her that I shop there every week if not every other week and I have never had this happen to me. I explained to her that I had just relocated from Delaware and that account had atleast 10,000 dollars in it. I then told her that she was deliberately humiliating me and I could not stop calling out to God at this point because I could not believe that she was doing this to me. She said that her employees had been wrong in the past to let me shop there if I paid by check totaling more than 200 dollars! well, I am so sorry for spending my money at publix, I am so sorry for not following the rules. I AM SO ANGRY, and I am crying becuase this is just a disgusting way to end the year. I called the regional manager (Kevin Thornton) who was not available and that is why i am contacting you. I really believe that if I was a white sophisticated blonde or whatever hair color I might be, I would have been treated better. She took one look at this black, sweatpants wearing woman and decided that I was not good enought shop at publix. What is even more humiliating is the fact that she told me that she was going to verify my drivers licence but all she was wondering is why a black woman would spend more than 20 dollars on groceries Well, I am sorry, I have a great job, a lot of money and I can assure you that I will never step into a publix store in the future. I am going to tell my story to everyone that can listen because I did not deserve that. All I wanted was to shop not encounter such blaintant racism.
