Citibank VISA USA customer service CITIBANK VISA ( USA)
I have to comment and put it on record that customer service at Citibank Visa is terrible, with misleading information and information that changes with every person you speak with.
Our dispute is regarding a dining table and chairs that we purchased on Oct 30, 2005 from Furniture Power in Florida. The table was delivered on Nov 3 , 2005 and was damaged. The delivery man would not take it back. We tried to speak with the Manager at the shop who would not come on line. Citibank was called on Nov 3 and asked to put a stop payment and the dispute was explained.
On Nov 10, 2005 we did get a temporary credit from Citibank after which our problems started. We have tried to speak with Citibank on Nov 21 - spoke with Shirley who advised us that the vendor had till Dec 25 to respond to our complains.
Dec 19 we spoke with Mrs. King at Citibank to be told that the vendor has 60 days to respond from Dec 19 onwards.
Dec 20 spoke with Alowa who claimed to be the manager in Citibank cutomer service. As per Alowa she could not give me any idea how long it will take for Citibank to resolve the isue. Also no one in the Vendor dispute section was available to speak with me.
Dec 21 - got a phone call from AMY in Citibank with no new information
Dec 22 - got a call from Mrs. Lloyd who claimed to be the manager in the vendor dispute section. Mrs. Lloyd would not give any information on what guide lines Visa had regarding the time frame for the vendor to respond. Mrs. Lloyds claimed to have a response from the vendor on file but was not at a liberty to dicsuss it with us as the response was being revied and she could not tell me how long it takes for Citi to review the vendors response. Mrs. Lloyd refused to put me in touch with her superior and in fact hung up the phone mid sentence.
In the mean time we have made 2 attempts to return the furniture back to the vendor. On both occassions the vendor failed to show up after agreeing to the time and date. Citibank has no desire to know this information and does not think that they need to contact me at this juncture.
What I am afraid is that in Jan 2006 I will get a letter from Ms Larson in Citibank stating that they have investigated my complain and I have to pay the charges now with back interest.
I hope some one in Citibank reads this mail and is able to put some sense in customer service.
