MAC MALL Debacle - LOOK OUT!

MAC MALL Debacle - LOOK OUT! To all who are concerned about quality customer service and ethical retailers, On the 12th day of December 2005, I placed an web order with Mac Mall. The process seemed to go exactly as planned, until I received a phone call the next day from a representative of their company. He stated that he just wanted to verify my order, and I agreed. He tried to "pitch" me a couple additional products, but I emphasised the ONLY products I wanted I placed via their web site, and printed out. He agreed and asked if there was anything else I needed and I said no. Then I asked him to read back to me what he has as my order... He did and everything he stated was correct, down to the exact price and UPS Ground Shipping I printed out from my web purchase. Then the next day, I received an email that was only partially what I had ordered, and had an additional item I DID NOT ORDER! To top that off, he, or someone from Mac Mall, had my shipping costs as Next Dair Air, and changed the original order number to SXXXXXXX from WXXXXXXX ?! >From what I am guessing happened, is this "Account Executive" switched the web order to his own order to make a commission. I immediately contacted them, but they kept directing me to my "so-called" Account Executive. I stated, I had placed the order via their web site and I don't have an Account Executive. They made it quite difficult to contact anyone else besides this person or their manager or superviser. When I did get the chance to speak with my "so-called" Account Executive, I will not name names here, I asked why my original web order had been changed? He stated this was a mistake by the customer service department, not him. Well, after a number of phone calls and emails to their customer service department, and even tech support, I was finally able to speak with a manager. He has offered to recify the situation by "PXing", not sure what this means?, part of my order to me without cost. I stated that I apreciated that, but wanted to know when to expect the remaining part of my original order? He said once they receive the product back, that I did not order, I would receive the remainder of my order. He stated, he would scheduled a pick up of the product at my work location for Friday, two days later from when we spoke. I said, OK. That was a mistake! As of this writing, 12/20/2005, I am still trying, 3rd attempt, to get them to pick up the product they sent me I did not order... While they are holding the remainder of my order, "hostage". My recommendation is to not do business with this company.
