BBANDT/Branch banking and trust / Cheaking Acount

I have banked with several banks in my past in many forms of account but never in my life have I ever encountered the nightmares like the ones given to me by “BB&T Branch Banking and Trust”.

It starts 3 years back after helping my little women open a account that she couldn’t do on her own do to credit reasons and unfortunately BBandT were the only ones willing to put her name on a account but I had to put my name on top of it .

The first year of business I would say was adequate though frankly I believe their customer support sucked major and bordered on flat out rude we had a few problems that year with a deposit being held over a extra day causing her account to overdraft when she used her card over the weekend and on the most part they were good at fixing the problem. of course not with out a song and dance first on how it was actually her fault , example oh the bank holds everything till 2:00 the next business day before processing so being the weekend and we weren’t opened your money wasn’t actually there till Monday at 2:00 , of course I would have to go down and give them the talk about if the deposit hasn’t been deposited in her account till 2:00 on Monday how was it they were able to take out her purchases right on the spot when they were made if EVERYTHING gets held till 2:00pm the next business day shouldn’t them be held over as well .. now lets keep in mind she is not a well off person and when payday arrives she needs that money for there are 3 little ones at home that need to eat and aren’t going to understand that they must starve the weekend till mommy can have her money that she had already earned and was rightfully hers.

Now and this is what gets me with this bank is come October and mind you this happens yearly , Overdraft fees get flat out ridiculous , and add up to more then the transactions them self , for example she deposits 2 checks for 300 each waits till Monday to buy stuff but everything she had purchased had bounced causing near 6 $30 overdraft fees , I spend a whole day away from my own busy schedule to go to the bank and after hours of searching the records for some explanation on how this had happened I get shrugs of shoulders with no idea how it happened and only get
