I wish I had checked out Direcway a little more thoroughly before purchasing. My intention was not to have to have a land line for internet.

To begin with the installer charged me an extra $160.00 to install, that I was not counting on. I wanted in on the roof but they don’t tell you it is to big to be mounted on the roof or maybe they are to lazy to make the effort.

 

I gave them my information when I ordered it, they put the account under the WRONG name, how they get Mary form my name is a mystery !!! They then claimed after shutting off my service that they could not use my DC information well I guess not since they account was under the wrong name. I then gave them a check by phone.

 

The service on all points was less then acceptable. The Fast speeds do not exist at best it was slower then dial up when it was working. If a cloud passed over it went out or it just went out for no reason. I would have to restart the modem and it would take at least 5-10 minutes to reconnect. If it is snowing forget it a small amount of snow will knock it right out.

 

After 3 months I have had it. I went back to DSL and I cancelled it they now claim I am going to be charged and early termination fee. Which I absolutely refuse to pay. I find that they have several unresolved complaints with the BBB.

 

Do not make the same mistake you are better off with dial up if you cannot get DSL or Cable where you live. Its a scam they hook you with their "free installation" Once its hooked up "oh by the way that will be $ for the pole" .
