76 gas station at 6th and Manhattan 76 gas station at 6th and Manhattan in Los Angeles. I am an Assistant Manager at a restaurant and we have a full size commercial van that we use to buy our groceries. But yesterday December 14, 2005 it got a flat tire and the tire was just about to come off the rim, so I drove very slowly inch by inch with my hazard lights on and made it to the 76 gas station on 6th and Manhattan where I usually go for service. I could see that the tire is now about to come off the rim and the rim was contacting the surface of the pavement, so I parked the van in front of the entrance to the gas station worried that if I go any further I might damage the rim. I went inside and saw that there was four guys working, one at the register and three on servicing cars. First I went to the guy at the register he said "go see the guys working on the cars", so I went over and said, "hey could you come take a look at this I have an emergency and need a new tire I'm blocking the entrance" I wanted to see if it was OK to drive a little more so that I can at least park the car and not block the entrance without damaging the rim. When I said repeatedly I need someone to come take a look at this, they said, "we are busy" so I waited about 15 minutes without anyone coming out to see me or greet me they were "busy" with checking minor things on other cars. Then this is when the problem occurred a 76 gas semi truck was coming in and my van was blocking the entrance then at that moment one of the guys working on the cars comes out and starts yelling at me to move my car he doesn’t care that I might damage the wheels he just says, "move the van" "move the van" "I don't care if you damage your rims just move the van" if I was at a dealer service they would have treated me with much courtesy and respect. That's when I started to argue back and say "how come you guys don't care when I called for your help but when you need me to move the van you drop everything you do and come running out to yell at customer who is only asking for help". Anyway I got a new tire installed after waiting 1 hour and thirty minutes passed. The manager who finally showed up after the argument installed the new tire himself, I told him there was an incident where your employees were very rude and I got into an argument with one of them, he never apologized, the worker never apologized and from now on I am never going to any 76 gas station not even for gas because like they say "they just don't care".
