My TV Set at Bears Furniture Shop

My TV Set at Bears Furniture Shop Good Morning Could you please assist me resolve my complaint. On the 27 August 2005, I bought an LG 51 cm new colour TV from Bears Furniture Shop in VanderBijlpark. The DVD was connected to this TV at home and was playing very well. In October month the TV started going blank for few seconds. I then took it back to Bears so that it could be fixed. We were called to come and fetch it early in November month. When arriving home, I tried to connect the DVD without any success as the TV would not show AUDIO on the screen in order to connect the DVD. By this time all TV programmes were playing well and the TV was not going blank anymore. On Saturday, 10 December 2005, I took the TV back to Bears with the hope that it would be taken back for further repairs. To my surprise the manager in charge told me that there was nothing wrong with the TV. He said that LG products had no problem at all and I retaliated by saying that, if LG products had no problem at all, why was possible that I brought the TV as it was going blank at intervals and go on again. He then said that 1 out of a thousand of LG products would break down. He further said that the problem was with me because I am old. I just kept quiet as he was going on and on. He then asked one of his male employees to come and take the TV to a room where he was going to show me that it was able to go to AUDIO for connection to the DVD. At the room the TV was connected and he started pressing buttons trying to get to the AUDIO. He failed to get to the AUDIO. I then said to him that he has failed to show me that the TV was OK and therefore demanded to be refunded my money. He then became angry with me and started talking in Afrikaans and said that "Ek sal nie die refund sien nie" I insisted that I get a refund as he failed to show me the AUDIO and he said: "Daar is niks verkeerd met die TV nie en ek wil niks saam met jou weer praat nie", at this point he was shouting at me. If he as the manager in charge was failing to assist me, who else would? Worse of all the TV set is still under guarantee The sales lady tried to persuade him without any success and I told her that I am going to leave the TV in the shop as I am not satisfied with the way that I am treated. The sales lady told me that she would call LG on Monday to come and take the TV for repairs and I replied and said to her that I don't want that TV anymore looking at the way the manager in charge treated me. I further indicated to her that I have been buying all my furniture from Bears for cash and has never owed bears a cent. Even the TV in question was bought for cash I then decided to leave the shop as the manager in charge was standing next to the door as I thought that something worse might happen. I left the TV set in that room as I couldn't get a refund. The Sales Ladys name is Jane Foko and her contact number is 016 - 933 - 9723
