ABC TV:

The newer practice of allowing so many commercials during the middle of

programs (as opposed to at the beginning and ending of programs) is spoiling

its programming this season.

By the time ABC airs their national commercials, then the local stations do

their alloted number, and then the promo ads for what's next, what's on next

week....and even what's on for a couple months down the road appear .......

these breaks every five to seven minutes in the middle of a program is most

disgusting.

ABC ruined "The Millionaire" by overdoing it and it seemed all they

programmed was more and more of that. Now they finally have two winners in

Desparate Housewise and Gray's Anatomy ... and they are ruining those.

Believe me, no one will change channels merely because there are commercials

at the beginning of Desparate Housewives or beginning of Gray's Anatomy.

They are both great shows.

But they will (and I already have) quit watching the shows in total disgust

at losing the effect of the good writing, acting and emotional involvement

every few minutes for two hours.

Advertising is essential; but shouldn't be the ruination of good shows

merely because of the way ads are placed through out the show.

Thanks.
