Buy.Com Web Purchase Buy.Com Internet website Complaint: I placed an order with Buy.Com and at the time of the order I realized I had used a previous ship to address in the profile. I recognized this immediately as soon as I submitted the order. There is no phone number for customer so I was not able to contact anyone directly to change the ship to address. Support for such corrections is only available with a web form to submit an email to customer service. I immediately submitted an email explaining the situation and specifying the correct ship to address. I waited one day and received no response from Buy.Com and I then requested that the order be canceled, at this time the order status indicated ‘Processing’, (not sent to warehouse, not shipped). After several days and no response I requested the order to be cancelled again and two days later still no response to my address change or the cancel order. Exactly a week after the order was placed I received an email indicating the order was indeed shipped to the incorrect address! This time the email specified a customer support phone number. I called customer support and everyone I spoke with made excuses, offered no help and where completely worthless. I frequently order from reputable merchants using their websites and this is the worst web experience I have experienced in a over a decade. Avoid Buy.Com like the plague as they offer the poorest customer support and are unconcerned about customer satisfaction! I ordered software and then was out of the office for several weeks. Upon returning I opened the package and the contents were totally mangled. I contacted buy.com to return the package but their policy is so unreasonable and their customer service so obscure that it is taking days to sort thru the mess. You cannot talk with a person and there is no post office address.
